Water Restrictions Lifted

Bergrivier Municipality will as of 1 October 2020, no longer have any water restrictions in place.
This comes after a decision was taken at a Council Meeting held on 29 September 2020, to lift the current level 3 water restrictions, as dams levels have risen significantly over the past two years.
Residents are allowed to proceed with their normal activities such as washing their vehicles, watering their gardens (at any time), filling up their pools, and using water for general hygiene and household purposes. The 100 litre per person per day is no longer applicable. We still urge all residents not to waste water, but to rather use it responsibly.
